Jodi Kimmel Follows Higher Campaign Finance Standards

than Required In Bedford, NY

(Bedford, NY) 2021 candidate for local office in Bedford, NY is actively following ethical standards that exceed legal requirements. Jodi Kimmel, running for Bedford Town Justice, has chosen to disclose more of her campaign finances than New York State election law requires.

Following this higher standard while also funding her campaign through donations from voters in their districts, has earned Kimmel the endorsement of Trailblazers PAC, the national, nonpartisan organization supporting candidates for county or municipal level office who take proven action for honest government.

“I could not be more honored to be endorsed by a nonpartisan team like Trailblazers PAC that stands for honest and fair government on every level of politics,” said Jodi Kimmel, candidate for Bedford (NY) Town Justice in the November 2, 2021 election.

“It’s very rare that candidates choose to do more than election law requires,” said Tony Pucci, Trailblazers PAC Executive Board member and the organization’s mentor to Kimmel. “We at Trailblazers PAC applaud Jodi for earning the ‘Trailblazer’ title by undertaking significant time and work to behave more transparently, and to earn donations directly from many individual voters, rather than just from traditional political players.”

Trailblazers PAC focuses exclusively on candidates running for office at the local (not state or federal) level, works with candidates of any political party, and will endorse on both sides of a given race if each candidate achieves the criteria.

Unlike most political organizations, Trailblazers PAC places candidates who apply into an intensive mentorship and training program. With approximately 250 candidates across the country in mentorship over the years, about a quarter have achieved endorsement, earning the title, “Trailblazer.” Even mentored candidates who do not get all the way to endorsement emerge as leaders committed to honest government, with strength to run winning campaigns.

To earn Trailblazers PAC’s endorsement, candidates must disclose every penny in and out of their campaigns (more than law requires), make themselves accountable to their own voters by raising funds from a set number of households within their district instead of solely from outside interests, and stand for honest government which upholds the U.S. Constitution and respects the dignity of all people.

Now in its fifth year, Trailblazers PAC has reached millions of voters by mentoring county and municipal-level candidates in eighteen states across the country. The organization only endorses and donates to candidates running in contested elections, and since 2017, a striking 65% of these candidates have won their elections.
